The registration of prospective students for the Study Program of Master in Environmental Science is conducted through a single-entry system via the website: https://um.ugm.ac.id/
Admission Requirements
The admission requirements for prospective students of the Master’s Program in Environmental Science are as follows:
Original Diploma from the previous educational level (Bachelor’s or equivalent) from an accredited study program in a relevant or related field, approved by the Master’s Program applied for.
Original Academic Transcript with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) at the Bachelor’s level or equivalent, with the following criteria:
≥ 2.50 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent for applicants from study programs accredited A, or
≥ 2.75 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent for applicants from study programs accredited B, or
≥ 3.00 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent for applicants from study programs accredited C.
Accreditation Certificate of the Bachelor’s program or equivalent, with the following conditions:
The accreditation must be current and proven by a scanned copy of the accreditation certificate or a screenshot from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) / LAM-PTKes website;
Study programs with accreditation under renewal must provide a receipt of submission of the accreditation form to BAN-PT / LAM-PTKes obtained from the respective university. A letter from the university is not sufficient;
International graduates must obtain an equivalency decree from the Ministry of Education and Culture (KEMDIKBUD) as a substitute for the accreditation certificate.
Valid Potential Test Certificate (maximum 2 years from the date of issuance). The committee only accepts results from:
PAPs UGM (minimum score 450)
TPDA PLTI (minimum score 450)
Academic Potential Test (TPA) BAPPENAS (minimum score 450)
Valid English Proficiency Test Certificate (maximum 2 years from the date of issuance). The committee only accepts results from:
AcEPT UGM (minimum score 149)
TOEP PLTI (minimum score 400)
International English Language Testing System (IELTS) (minimum score 4.0)
Internet-Based (iBT) TOEFL (minimum score 30)
Institutional Testing Program (ITP) TOEFL (minimum score 400)
Confidential Recommendations from two persons familiar with the applicant at the previous educational level, such as academic advisors or other authorized persons (e.g., workplace supervisor). The online recommendation link will be sent by the UGM Admission Committee to the recommenders via email. Ensure the email addresses of the recommenders are valid and active.
Statement of Academic Intent including research topic/interest, reasons and expectations for joining the program, planned research topic, and post-graduation plans.
Study Leave/Assignment Letter from the employer for applicants who are currently employed.
Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Cooperation Agreement (PKS), or Scholarship Award Letter (for applicants applying through partnership schemes).
Statement of Document Authenticity.
