The Study Program of Master in Environmental Science
The Study Program of Master in Environmental Science, Graduate School, Universitas Gadjah Mada, is one of the oldest Master’s programs in Environmental Science in Indonesia, formally established on September 29, 1993, following the issuance of the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education No. 580/DIKTI/KEP/1993. The program is distinguished by its ecological-geographical approach.
Vision
To become an institution that produces graduates with a Master’s degree in Environmental Science and serves as a center of excellence in the field of Environmental Science at both national and international levels, guided by the cultural values of the nation based on Pancasila.

The missions of the Master'a Program in Environmental Science are:
To provide high-quality postgraduate education accompanied by improvements in educational quality in accordance with international standards.
To enhance high-quality research activities in the field of Environmental Science.
To strengthen community service activities that provide solutions to environmental problems.

Objectives
The educational objectives of the Master's Program in Environmental Science are to produce graduates with the following qualifications:
Ability to observe, identify, and apply scientific reasoning to address environmental problems holistically.
Ability to plan and conduct research for the development of Environmental Science and its applications in sustainable development.
Possession of broad environmental knowledge to advance the field and pursue further studies in Environmental Science at higher levels.

Graduate Profile
Graduates of the Master’s Program in Environmental Science are prepared to become researchers, consultants, educators/lecturers/trainers, or government officials with expertise in environmental management. They are capable of formulating environmental control programs using an ecological-geographical approach within the framework of environmental analysis for development planning, regional development, and spatial planning evaluation.
