The Study Program of Doctor in Environmental Science
The Study Program of Doctor in Environmental Science is one of the oldest doctoral programs at UGM. The program was first held in September 1993 based on the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia No. 680/DIKTI/Kep/1993 as an interest in the Doctoral Program in Geography. Since November 21, 2008, the Environmental Science interest has been independent as a study program under the Postgraduate School based on the Decree of the Rector of Universitas Gadjah Mada Number 526/P/SK/HT/2008.
Graduate Profile
The establishment of the Study Program of Doctor in Environmental Science promotes environmental knowledge and better environmental management through education, research, and community services. After completing the program, students are expected to become ENVIRONMENTAL EXPERTS (Level 9 of Nation Competency Scheme), who are able to:
- Analyze the complexity of environmental problems,
- Plan research and conduct multidisciplinary research,
- Contribute to solving environmental problems and planning environmental management programs
