The Study Program of Environmental Science Graduates 5 Doctoral and 10 Master’s Students

Yogyakarta, October 22, 2025 — The Environmental Science Study Program, Graduate School, Universitas Gadjah Mada, once again conferred degrees during the Graduate Commencement Ceremony Period I of the 2025/2026 Academic Year, held on October 21–22, 2025 at Grha Sabha Pramana, Universitas Gadjah Mada.

In this period, the Environmental Science Study Program graduated five (5) Doctoral students in Environmental Science (PhD) and ten (10) Master’s students in Environmental Science with a focus on Environmental Science (MSc). The graduates come from diverse academic disciplines and regions across Indonesia, reflecting the program’s multidisciplinary and inclusive approach to advancing environmental science at UGM.

In a statement, the Environmental Science Study Program expressed appreciation to all graduates for their dedication and perseverance throughout their studies. The academic journey undertaken by the students is expected not only to strengthen their intellectual capacity but also to cultivate a commitment to environmental sustainability.

“UGM Environmental Science graduates are expected to become agents of change across various sectors, promoting sustainability and wise natural resource management. Future environmental challenges require cross-disciplinary collaboration, and our graduates have a pivotal role to play in addressing them,” said a representative of the Study Program.

Education in the Environmental Science Study Program is also aligned with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education. Through research-based learning and multidisciplinary collaboration, the program aims to produce graduates who are not only academically competent but also socially aware and ecologically responsible. Quality education serves as the fundamental foundation for developing human resources capable of addressing complex environmental management challenges sustainably.

This graduation marks an important milestone in the academic journey of UGM’s Environmental Science Study Program, which continues to strive in producing graduates with high integrity, global insight, and tangible contributions to sustainable development in Indonesia.

The Environmental Science Study Program congratulates all graduates on their achievements. May the knowledge, experiences, and networks gained during their studies at UGM serve as invaluable assets in their future contributions to society and the environment.
